Sport and Performance Psychology
Capstone 2025

The sport and performance psychology master’s program at UWS helped me become an explorer, and now I am just beginning to slowly discover an entirely new continent—one with multiple ecosystems, thousands of species, and intricate relationships between all things in the living world.

My philosophy is only starting to reveal itself; it represents a snapshot of a continuously evolving model within an infinitely complex system. My earlier artifacts now look back at me like seventeenth-century science texts, each one asking to be rewritten. I hope that my development never stops. It is risky, scary, and exhilarating, like any true discovery. Yet it is also beautiful—and, in many ways, a moral obligation. I cannot stop learning about the things that can help my clients live more fulfilling and meaningful lives.

I owe special thanks to the remarkable athletes, coaches, musicians, and artists I have been fortunate to work with—each of whom has taught me so much.

I am also deeply grateful to my professors, my classmates, and my family for being there for me when pushing through essays and keeping deadlines seemed difficult. My son initially advised me not to pursue this path, yet he has supported me every step of the way. At twelve years old, he is an inspiration—and not insignificantly, he also built this website.

Explorers, like all of us, need the support of others to go out and do what they are meant to do. We have both a calling and a responsibility to make it count. Let us keep up the good work and create a better world, together with our clients, one case at a time.
